I went to AG Place tonnight for tea with one of my girlfriend's colleagues and her daughter. Lily was really into the table talkers, until we came to the one
"Would you rather be pretty, smart or athletic?"
Am I the only one who gets pissed off about this card? I mean, I know I'm not - the adults I've gone to AG with usually get upset, and the ten year old who was with us tonight got mad too. So you have to choose? You can't be all three or even two?
I sent off another e-mail to them tonight, and am contemplating a call, because I have gotten no responses to any of the e-mails and table surveys where I've mentioned this.

My Kirsten is cold. She asked me for a winter outfit. I think her skirt should be pretty easy, and I think I can put her blouse together from her "Pretty Clothes" patterns, but I need a little more info. Would any of you who own Kirsten's winter skirt & blouse be willing to answer some questions and post some pictures for me? Kirsten and I would greatly appreciate it! =)

I just finished doing Junie's hair. It's been in a sad state for a while now, but I was intimidated - I haven't seen many, but #26's hair seems just prepped to make a person fail. But it was already in a hot mess. So I read
kittikattie's description of doing Otters's hair, got out the brush and braid spray, and got to work.
Is she not the cutest thing that ever there was? I got that dress today from the Advent calender my partner has been doing for me. It's amazing how much different a doll looks when she's well-cared for. Junie looks a lot happier now. Two and a half hours well spent.
( Whole photoset down here )
Now I do have one question, for people who have done this - is there any way short of trimming the hair to even it out in front? The right side is so obviously longer, and I'd like it a little shorter. If trimming is the only option, should I trim the hair in the curls or out of it?

Hi again! :) I am excited about finding the comm, still. I don't know that I'll always post once a day, but eh, it seems so serendipitous for now, I can't help myself.
So, when I was younger, I didn't realize the books were all written by different people. (If I had, I might not have waited until I was 27 to consider a career in fiction. ^^;;)
I was reading the plot summary for Nellie's Promise on the Wikia, and it struck me that I don't agree at all with this characterization of Samantha. I got really impassioned about this, and wrote a big ol' dissection of it, piece by piece, in an email to my best friend.
How seriously do you take the books? Have you read all the books connected to your favorite character? Do you write stories for your 'original' dolls?
How about the illustrations? Is there one artist you like better than another? Why? Do the art changes upset or aggravate you?
If there is a Felicity fan out there who was irritated by the recoloring of Beth, I think that falls into this category as well.
(The only reason I didn't buy a Nellie was because I didn't like her hair, I thought it was too blonde. I still do, and now I'm considering buying a Rebecca and using her for a Nellie, though I wouldn't cut her hair. I would just consider her a post-adoption Nellie. ^^;;)
